Ubisoft and The Sandbox Collaborate to Bring Rabbids to the Metaverse

The Sandbox, a subsidiary of Animoca Brands and the decentralized gaming virtual world initiative, announced a partnership with the French video game firm ‘Ubisoft’. Ubisoft will have access to its territory in the virtual metaverse, and the world will begin with voxelized copies of Rabbids’ characters. Guillaume Mammi, Senior Manager at Ubisoft, stated that Rabbids would invade the sandbox community, allowing players to incorporate some elements of the gaming IPinto the sandbox metaverse. The Sandbox is a clear new fun playground addition to the long list of Rabbids planet invasions, as well as an excellent opportunity for Ubisoft to experiment with a metaverse experience for its brands.

Ubisoft is a gaming giant well known for its multimedia game, including Prince of Persia, Assassin’s Creed, Far Cry, Tom Clancy’s, Rabbids, and Rayman. 

According to cryptoslam.io, The Sandbox has an all-time NFT sale of $364.1 million and is currently the ninth-largest. The SAND token is third behind Decentraland (MANA) and Axie Infinity (AXS) in market valuation and is among the $22.9 billion worth of metaverse-based tokens. The Sandbox has existing partnerships with several well-known brands and celebrities like Ubisoft, which includes Adidas, Warner Music Group, Atari, The Walking Dead, Snoop Dogg, Deadmau5, Steve Aoki, Richie Hawtin, The Smurfs, Care Bears, ZEPETO, and CryptoKitties. These brands are following The Sandbox team’s idea to empower players to create their experience using well-known and original characters in a virtual world.
