Immortalizing creativity and work of art on blockchain technology via NFTs seems to be what is trending. A lot of individuals have now launched exclusive content of various legends across the movie and music industry in the form of NFTs.
These individuals in most cases are close relatives, business partners, and companies that worked closely with these legends. According to the latest reports, the work of art of music legend John Lennon is set to be launched as NTFs.
This project is being led by Julian Lennon, the oldest son of the music legend. He has auctioned several pieces of John Lennon memorabilia and The Beatles as NFTs. Julian is presented in partnership with YellowHeart NFT and Julian’s Auctions to bring the project to life.

The NFTs to be launched are part of the collection dubbed ‘The Lennon Connection’. All of the NFTs will be in the form of audio-visual collectibles while the imagery of each NFT has a narration from Julian. The NFTs will also be established on several physical elements from a personal memorabilia collection of Julian’s.
These pieces include;
- Handwritten notes from ‘Hey Jude,’ one of The Beatles hit songs,
- Afghan coat was worn by Lennon in the ‘Magical Mystery Tour’ movie,
- Lennon’s black cape worn in the ‘Help!’ movie
- Julian’s three Gibson guitars were gifted to him by Lennon.

The auction for the NFTs collection is presently live and is set to end on the 7th of February. According to predictions, the handwritten ‘Hey Jude’ note should rank in massive interest, and the final bid is forecasted to double its starting price of $30,000.
While Julian looks to immortalize his father’s work, he’s not the first to be inspired by the legendary status of the Liverpudlian rock band. Last December, The Voices of Classic Rock launched an exclusive NFTs collection based on four distinct interviews granted by the Fab Four.
Julian has also asserted that a percentage of the proceeds gained from the auction will go to The White Feather Foundation. In his tweet, he affirmed that the donation will help compensate for the carbon emissions caused by the auction. The carbon emission offset will be carried out via Nori, a carbon removal marketplace. This is all in a bid to reduce the carbon footprints of the crypto industry which many have highly criticized.
Julian, again, is not the only one in the family dabbling into the crypto space. Sean Ono Lennon, his half-brother, is known to actively support and advocate for Bitcoin. During a podcast session in late November, Sean asserted that Bitcoin is one of many things that keep him hopeful about humanity’s future.
