1. Justin Bieber Buys BAYC #3001 for 500ETH ($1.29 million)

According to a sale on the NFT marketplace OpenSea, Justin Bieber spent 500 Ethereum worth $1.29 million on a Bored Ape Yacht Club (BAYC) NFT at the time of settlement.

Bieber’s OpenSea identity is “JustinBieberNFTS,” and the BAYC he purchased was Bored Ape Yacht Club #3001. Bieber’s NFT purchase was remarkable because the BAYC’s floor price was 104 ether, or $270,908, at the time of purchase.

Furthermore, the anticipated value of BAYC #3001 on January 29, 2022, was $208,237, but Bieber spent 500 ether. This indicates that the well-known Canadian artist spent significantly more than the BAYC’s market worth. At the time of writing, the artist had around 340.43 Ethereum worth $879K in his wallet. Bieber’s wallet also reveals that he enjoys collecting NFTs, with statistics showing that he owns 619 NFTs from 49 different collections.

BAYC entered the market with a bang and is presently the most valuable NFT. Major sales have happened since JB’s 500 ETH purchase following this event. Last night, a BAYC owner sold his gold BAYC for 800 ETH, as shown below.
