One out of seven NFTs related to Quentin Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction was auctioned and sold for a whole $1.1 million. This auction and sale have defiled the efforts of producers responsible for ‘Miramax’, the cult classic, who are attempting to thwart the collection. The producers are in dispute with Tarantino over intellectual property rights.
As earlier reported, Tarantino created seven sets of NFTs linked to his crime classic movie. The NFTs will offer a sole ticket to seven theaters, as well as handwritten notes and audio commentary. The filmmaker promises the NFT will give a distinctive look into their creative process and mind of his.

The NFT collection, titled ‘Tarantino NFTs,’ offers seven handwritten and original screenplays from the 1994 movie. Each of these NFTs will take the form of one-of-a-kind, mintable NFTs. Through a partnership with SCRT Labs, the NFTs will also have an audio commentary produced by Tarantino himself. He will walk listeners through every scene’s significance, and uncover hidden retellings.
After a bidding battle that included several bids ranging between six to seven figures, AnonDAOz, an NFT collective, bought “Royale with Cheese, ” for $1.1 million. The collective is devoted to developing infrastructure to protect people’s right to privacy.

Since the sale, auctions for the other six NFTs have commenced with each of the auctions lasting for 24 hours. The auctions began on the 24th of January and will end on the 31st of January. The remaining six NFTs are established on the scenes;

However, the buzzing feeling that envelops the Pulp
Fiction NFTs may soon be short-lived. This is because Miramax is taking bold steps to stop the NFT collection’s eligibility. The film studio just recently filed a lawsuit that they have an IP claim over the content.
Miramax lawyers claim that the lights Mr. Tarantino has over screenplay publications do not permit him to mint unique NFTs of Miramax’s intellectual property. The lawyers claim Tarantino’s contrary position to their claim has led to the pending lawsuit they just filed.
