As companies continue to compete for dominance in the NFT space, Coinbase, the crypto heavyweight, is set to launch its NFT division. The cryptocurrency exchange platform, via an email to its more than two million waitlist members, announced that ‘it’s almost here.

This bold announcement by Coinbase was made in the early hours of February 7 via a memo to its members. The memo was designed to prepare the NFT space for Coinbase’s arrival. The email which was sent out featured tantalizing peeks into the final product. The memo also included comprehensive information on how to begin and set off quickly, all designed to give its members a decent start.

The memo also featured details of Coinbase’s partnership with Mastercard. The fruitful partnership will allow clients of coinbase to buy various digital assets with their credit cards. As a result, they will be able to bypass unnecessary crypto-related obstacles when venturing into the NFT space. A reference was also made to Twitter’s NFT profile pictures, suggesting that Coinbase’s  NFT division may be the next platform to merge with Twitter’s non-fungible token technology.
