Given the success of HAPEBEAST and Bored Ape Yacht Club, we’ve witnessed the advent of several other ape-inspired NFT projects. Now, a new ape is in town, and it’s not here to play.

The streetwear label BAPE, since 1993 has been a brand synonymous with apes. This is as a result of its distinct ape-head logo graphics including other monkey personalities such as Baby Milo. Presently, the brand, riding on its ape persona is venturing into the NFT scene, launching its digital art collection.

The streetwear company BAPE has teased the launch of an NFT collection titled ‘The King of Apes’ after dropping a few teasers. The NFT collection is said to be launched on the NFT community project platform known as (B)APETAVERSE. The platform offers loyal customers of BAPE access to limited possibilities and material.

It’s apparent that the brand is trying not to divulge some information about the contents of the NFT collection for the time being. However, insights into the project do suggest that it will feature 10,000 exclusive ape-inspired NFTs. That’s not all, the official teaser image of the collection also suggests that loyal customers will be digitally generating the NFTs.

Currently, it seems that BAPE’s efforts towards promoting the NFT collection have been executed with the intent to make things unclear. Certainly, this is all in a bid to keep the fans exciting and expectant of the new release. This has become apparent from its arcane description that implores all individuals in the Metaverse to come to reference The King of Apes, whose image will soon be disclosed.

As of now, the official visual for the project has not been released. However, the teaser released displays the BAPE logo in a hyper-realistic version. And this, undoubtedly, will influence some of the brand’s most recognizable visuals and patterns.

If you would love to follow the NFT project, you can always join the brand’s Discord which is committed to providing the latest information about the project. You can also register on the brand’s website to have access to the latest information.

While the BAPE brand which is highly recognized as one of the legendary hypebeast-style brands ventures into the NFT scene, it is not alone in this endeavor. Adidas and Nike are other fashion brands that have ventured into the NFT space. Premium brands like Gucci, Dolce & Gabanna, and Givenchy are also working on launching their digital asset collection.
